Soft Falling Rain filly dominates Eastern Cape awards

Soft Falling Rain’s talented daughter World Radar dominated the Eastern Cape Racing Awards, which were recently announced by the Racing Association.
The newly turned four-year-old filly was crowned the Eastern Cape’s Champion Three Year Old Filly, Champion Sprinter, and Horse Of The Year for the past 2019-2020.

Bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein, the Alan Greeff trained World Radar made six starts last season, winning four, with World Radar scoring her biggest success when landing the G3 Champagne Stakes at Kenilworth.

The filly also claimed last season’s Listed East Cape Breeders Stakes, where World Radar accounted for former G3 Prix du Cap winner Elusive Heart (herself named the Eastern Cape’s Champion Older Filly/Mare for 2019-2020) by a length and a quarter.

Out of the Strike Smartly mare Advance Warning, World Radar has won five of seven starts in total.

Her G1 SA Nursery winning sire Soft Falling Rain has seven lots on offer at the 2020 Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale.
