Wilgerbosdrift’s hugely exciting young stallion Buffalo Bill Cody came up with a second first-crop winner on Thursday, when his two-year-old son Buffalo Storm Cody made a brillliant winning debut at Turffontein.
Dispatched a well backed tote favourite for Thursday’s 4Racing Welcomes You Maiden Juvenile Plate (1000m), the Tony Peter trained colt was slowly away but quickly overcame that and went to the lead.
From there, it was a one horse race, with the Calvin Habib ridden Buffalo Storm Cody romped home to win as he liked by nine lengths on debut
Bred by Narrow Creek Stud, Buffalo Storm Cody is out of the Trippi mare Musical Romance.
The exciting two-year-old was a R410 000 purchase from the 2023 Cape Yearling Sale.
