Keeneland success for Flower Alley mare

Wilgerbosdrift’s Travers Stakes winning sire Flower Alley continues to make waves as a broodmare sire, and the son of Distorted Humor was at it again at the first session of the 2020 Keeneland September Yearling Sale on Sunday.

Flower Alley’s high-class daughter Bouquet Booth was responsible for an Into Mischief ridgling (Hip 0078) who made $775 000 -making the yearling the third top male sold at Sunday’s session.
Consigned to the sale by Four Star Sales, acting as Agent for Spendthrift Farm, the bay ridgling was sold to Donato Lanni on behalf of SF Bloodstock, Starlight Racing, and Madaket Stables.

Bouquet Booth was herself a high-class racemare, with her four career wins headed by scores in the G3 Delta Downs Princess Stakes and the Silverbulletday Stakes. Already the dam of two winners, Bouquet Booth was produced by the unplaced Loup Sauvage mare Toll Order.
“We had to reach to buy him, but he was a horse we felt suited our program very well,” SF Bloodstock’s Tom Ryan said of Hip 78. “The market has been soft in patches, but as we just saw, a good horse can still bring big money.”

Another daughter of Flower Alley, champion and G2 Barbara Fritchie Handicap winner My Wandy’s Girl made news at the recent Fasig-Tipton Selected Yearlings Showcase Sale when her Into Mischief colt was knocked down for $600 000.
