Wilgerbosdrift enjoyed some superb results at last week’s Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.
The Piketberg farm ended the two day sale, as leading vendors, with Wilgerbosdrift’s 18 lots to sell (from 20 offered) grossing R16.655 million.
The farm’s draft averaged an impressive R925 278 -an impressive result when considering the sale’s overall average price stood at R295 136.
Wilgerbosdrift consigned the two top colts sold at this year’s National Sale -with the farm’s Celestial City (Silvano-Halfway To Heaven) sold to Summerhill Equestrian for R7 000 000 and their Scarlet Ibis (Silvano-Dashing Scarlet) knocked down to Form Bloodstock for R4 500 000.
Other notable results for Wilgerbosdrift at the 2020 National Yearling Sale included Lets Twist Again (c Silvano -Liberty Dance), sold to Form Bloodstock for R1 600 000, and Tuk Tuk (c Trippi-Bang Sue) who was knocked down to Summerhill Equestrian for R700 000.
