Soft Falling Rain son makes it four in a row

Wilgerbosdrift’s deceased stallion Soft Falling Rain made a solid impression with his first crop, and the champion son of National Assembly’s first crop looks to have come up with another smart galloper in the form of Marmara Sea.

The latter made it four wins in a row when he scored over 1600m at Fairview racecourse today, with Marmara Sea now unbeaten since relocating to the Eastern Cape.

Under jockey Teaque Gould, the gelded Marmara Sea powered home to get up close home and score by a length and a quarter.

Trained by Alan Greeff, the Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein bred Marmara Sea has now won four, and placed a further three times, of his ten starts.

His G1 SA Nursery winning sire made a tremendous start with his first crop yielding not only the graded stakes winners Montreal Mist and World Radar but also G2 Joburg Spring F&M Challenge runner up Gin Fizz.
