Five in a row for Soft Falling Rain son

The sadly deceased Soft Falling Rain has been in the news this week, with his daughter World Radar recently named the Eastern Cape’s Horse Of The Year for 2020, and his son Nafoorah making a big impression when winning at the Vaal on Thursday afternoon.

Soft Falling Rain made more news at Fairview on Friday when his son Marmara Sea made it five wins on the bounce when scoring for trainer Alan Greeff and jockey Greg Cheyne.
The four-year-old gelding, who was bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein, is unbeaten since relocating to the Eastern Cape, with Marmara Sea also yet to taste defeat on the polytrack.

He made it five wins from just 11 starts when flying up late to score by a neck, going away, over 1600m.

Former Equus Champion Soft Falling Rain, a group or graded stakes winner in three different countries, made a smart start to his short stud career, with his first crop headed by the graded stakes winners Montreal Mist and World Radar and his second by G1 Golden Horse Medallion runner up Pray For Rain.

The son of National Assembly has 7 two-year-olds on offer at this year’s Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale.
