Back to back graded stakes wins for Hawwaam filly

Wilgerbosdrift’s homebred champion Hawwaam has been in fine form of late, and the five time G1 winner was at it again at Turffontein on Tuesday.
Hawwaam’s first-crop daughter Perfect Miracle made it back to back graded stakes victories when she won Tuesday’s G2 TAB Camellia Stakes (1160m).
Trained by Tony Peter, the three-year-old had captured the G3 World Sports Betting Sycamore Sprint on her previous start.

Under a good ride from Marco Van Rensburg, Perfect Miracle was always up with the pace in Tuesday’s sprint. Despite hanging across the course, the daughter of Hawwaam kept galloping strongly with Perfect Miracle going on to score by three-parts of a length.

Bred by Klawervlei Stud, the three-year-old races for Suzette Viljoen.

Perfect Miracle, who is out of the Tiger Ridge mare Freddy’s Sister, has won four of nine starts with the filly’s earnings standing at R489 511.

Her sire Hawwaam has made a bright start to his stud career, with Hawwaam’s current crop of two-year-olds including seven winners from 12 runners. Hawwaam’s two-year-olds this season include the impressive debut winners Black Nightshade and Western Miracle and the promising filly Obsidian Star.
