THEKWINI STAKES HOPES FOR FLOWER ALLEY FILLY

Wilgerbosdrift’s very much inform sire Flower Alley has some very exciting two-year-olds to his name this season.
One of these prospects is the Lucky Houdalakis trained None Other, who caught the eye when romping to a clear-cut and decisive victory at Turffontein on Saturday.

Third, to fellow Flower Alley filly Maharanee, in both the G2 4Racing SA Fillies Nursery and WSB.co.za Highveld Winter Juvenile Fillies Stakes, in her two previous starts, None Other looked hard to oppose in Saturday’s www.highveldracing.co.za Juvenile Plate (Fillies) (1400m) and she proved a class above her rivals.

Under Craig Zackey, None Other quickly went into the lead and from there never looked in serious danger of defeat, with the two-year-old drawing off to a visually impressive four and a quarter length win.

Bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein, None Other has now won two of four starts and she could run next in the G1 Thekwini Stakes at the end of the month.

None Other, who is out of the Dynasty mare One Of A Kind, is one of several exciting prospects to have emerged from her sire’s current two-year-old crop. Other promising sorts for Flower Alley this season include the aforementioned Maharanee, Bloodstock SA Sales Cup heroine Feather Boa, and Listed Lady’s Slipper Stakes runner up No Greater Love.

Also sire of this season’s G1 HSH Princess Charlene Empress Club Stakes winner Princess Calla, Flower Alley has 11 lots on offer at the upcoming August Two Year Old Sale.
