Wilgerbosdrift’s blue blooded broodmare Saint Mary gained a further update to her pedigree when her close relative Heavenly Holly romped to a 10 length victory at Wolverhampton on Wednesday.
A three-year-old daughter of Shamardal, the Hugo Palmer trained Heavenly Holly made it two wins from just three outings when a facile and comprehensive victory in the sunracing.co.uk Novice Stakes over seven furlongs.
Heavenly Holly, ridden to victory by Josephine Gordon, had shed her maiden at the second time of asking when she romped home to a two and a half length win in a novice stakes at Chelmsford earlier in November.
The filly was produced by Happy Holly –a full-sister to Wilgerbosdrift’s Saint Mary.
Heavenly Holly’s second dam is the outstanding Pennekamp daughter Pennegale, dam of G1 winners Lily Of The Valley (G1 Prix de l’Opera) and Mubtaahij (G1 Awesome Again Stakes).
A winning daughter of emerging broodmare sire Holy Roman Emperor (his daughters have already produced the G1 winners Verbalized and Johannes Vermeer), Saint Mary’s two-year-old Christmas Flower was sired by Wilgerbosdrift’s proven resident sire Flower Alley.
