The Wilgerbosdrift bred Nassa is one of 13 horses accepted for the $25 000 000 G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Cup, to be run at Sha Tin Racecourse on December 10th.
Nassa, a good third to Cup contenders Werther and Time Warp last time out, was a smart winner of the G3 SA SA Ladies Purse two starts back.
He is owned by Connie Siu Kim Ying and is trained by former South African champion Tony Millard.
Nassa is likely to be opposed by 13 rivals, headed by international G1 winners Deauville, Neorealism, Blond Me, Werther and Robin Of Navan.
Other interesting rivals include the talented French galloper Garlingari, winner of the recent G2 Qatar Prix Dollar, and Breeders’ Cup Classic runner War Decree.
By the Wilgerbosdrift bred champion and leading sire Dynasty, Nassa is one of five winners produced by unplaced Rich Man’s Gold mare Cosima Liszt, whose other notable performers include 2012 G1 Sansui Summer Cup winner Wagner.
