Wilgerbosdrift’s home bred champion Hawwaam is starting to fire on all cylinders, and the son of Silvano came up with a very eye catching debut winner on Sunday. Hawwaam’s three-year-old son Hah Lah Lah made the perfect start to his career when he won the first race run at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday.
Under Craig Zackey, the Dean Kannemeyer trained colt powered away to claim the Tote. Speed. Power. Glory. Open Maiden (1200m) as he liked by two and a half lengths.
Bred by Patricia Devine Investments (Pty) Ltd, Hah Lah Lah races for The Vasco Syndicate.
The colt is out of the Captain Al mare Moonlight ‘N Roses.
Hah Lah Lah is the fifth winner to have emerged from Hawwaam’s first crop, with this crop including another very impressive debut winner in the form of Perfect Miracle and recent winner Gorgeous Cape.
A five time G1 winner, champion Hawwaam (who is closely related to unbeaten G2 World Pool With Race Coast Debutante winner Princess Of Gaul) had two-year-olds make up to R600 000 at the recent August Two Year Old Sale.
