Wilgerbosdrift’ G1 winning stallion Flower Alley looks to have come up with a very smart performer in the form of Santa Therese.
The latter made it four wins in a row, and four wins from just seven starts, with a dazzling performance at Fairview on Friday.Winner of the Listed Breeders Guineas back in March, the Alan Greeff trained Santa Therese proved far too strong for her rivals in Friday’s Play Soccer 6,10 and 13 FM Divided Handicap (1600m).
Under Luke Ferraris, the three-year-old Flower Alley pulverized her rivals, with Santa Therese running out a two and a half length winner of Friday’s race.
Bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein, Santa Therese is out of the Tiger Ridge mare Santa Clarita.
She is one of several smart three-year-olds representing Flower Alley this season, with others including G2 Western Cape Fillies Championship/G3 Umzimkhulu Stakes winner Princess Calla and G3 World Sports Betting Variety Club Mile runner up Firealley.
The sire of more than 50 stakes horses, including Kentucky Derby winning champion I’ll Have Another, Flower Alley has three lots on the upcoming CTS Farm Yearling Sale, and a single lot on the 2021 KZN Yearling Sale
