FLOWER ALLEY FILLY IMPRESES IN FRENCH FEATURE

Wilgerbosdrift’s inform sire Flower Alley looks to have a really smart sort on his hands in the form of the French based filly Flower Fashion. The latter, part-owned by Mary Slack, looked unlucky not to win Saturday’s Listed Prix Volterra at Maisons-Laffitte, when beaten just half a length by Charm Appeal.

It was another two and a half lengths back to third place runner La Poutanesca.

In finishing second in the 1600m contest for 3yo fillies, Flower Fashion stamped herself a stakes filly of the future and she looks sure to build on this good effort.

Flower Fashion, who holds an entry in the G1 Prix Saint-Alary, has won two of just four outings thus far, having won impressively first time out over 1900m.

Her G1 winning sire Flower Alley has also been in the news thanks to the feats of his smart US filly Splash Hit, whose three wins from just four outings include the Cajun Miss Stakes.
