More success for Soft Falling Rain

Wilgerbosdrift’s deceased sire Soft Falling Rain has made the ideal start with his second crop of runners.
The former Equus Champion was responsible for a second two-year-old winner (from just three runners) of 2019-2020 when his daughter Eternal Hope made a winning debut over 1000 metres at Fairview on Friday afternoon.

Bred by the Narrow Creek Stud, the Alan Greeff trained Eternal Hope stayed on gamely to post a three-parts of a length debut win under jockey Greg Cheyne.

Out of the El Prado mare Hope Forever, Eternal Hope was a R120 000 buy from the 2019 National 2YO Sale.

Her paternal half-brother Garden Party made a big impression when romping home on debut to score by nearly three lengths for trainer Paul Peter and jockey Warren Kennedy.

A former Equus Champion, and G1 SA Nursery winner, Soft Falling Rain has six yearlings on offer at the 2020 Cape Premier Yearling Sale, and a further nine lots on offer at February’s Cape Yearling Sale.
