Buffalo Bill Cody star wins again

Wilgerbosdrift’s inform stallion Buffalo Bill Cody enjoyed a good few days over the weekend.
On Friday, his son Buffalo Bill landed the Listed Ibhayi Stakes, and the following day, Buffalo Bill Cody’s star son Buffalo Storm Cody won at Turffontein.

Bouncing back from a disappointing trip to Cape Town, the Tony Peter trained Buffalo Storm Cody showed his class in Saturday’s Owa Ceilings Pinnacle Stakes (1160m).
Under regular rider Gavin Lerena, the four-year-old (who hails from the first crop of his sire) was always going well and Buffalo Storm Cody kicked away in the closing stages to account for G1 TAB Computaform Sprint winner William Robertson by a length.

(William Robertson’s sire Rafeef is a son of Redoute’s Choice, who also ranks as the sire of Buffalo Bill Cody).

Bred by Narrow Creek Stud, Buffalo Storm Cody has won nine of 17 starts, with the gelding’s triumphs including the 2025 G1 Mercury Sprint.

A tilt at this season’s G1 Computaform Sprint is on the cards for Buffalo Storm Cody.

Owned by Kestorm Investments, Buffalo Storm Cody is out of the Trippi mare Musical Romance.

His inform sire Buffalo Bill Cody has six lots on offer at the Cape Yearling Sale, including a half-brother (Lot 63) to G2 KRA Fillies Guineas winner Alexis, and three lots on the Premier Yearling Sale, including a filly (Lot 61) out of the stakes placed Rattle Mouse.
