Wilgerbosdrift’s homebred champion Hawwaam looks to have come up with a potentially very smart filly in the form of Perfect Miracle. The latter made it two wins from two starts when she won at Turffontein on Saturday.
Trained by Tony Peter, Perfect Miracle had made a big impression when winning on debut by six and a quarter lengths and she duly doubled up on Saturday. Under Calvin Habib, the three-year-old circled runners and went out to make the running in the Betway Summer Cup Tickets Are On Sale On Ticketpro Graduation Plate (F and M) (1200m).
Perfect Miracle kept finding gamely in front, and she stayed on to beat the classy Pretty Persuasive a shade cosily by a neck. It was a smart effort from the filly, who kept changing legs in running, and Perfect Miracle looks to have a bright future.
Bred by Klawervlei Stud, the Suzette Viljoen owned filly is out of the Tiger Ridge mare Freddy’s Sister.
Perfect Miracle was a R425 000 buy from the 2024 National Yearling Sale.
Her five time G1 winning sire Hawwaam has been in good form of late, with the champion’s growing list of winners including such promising sorts as Delta Pride and Pivotal Role. At the time of writing, three of Hawwaam’s last six runners had all won and there looks sure to be more to come. A half-brother to Horse Of The Year Rainbow Bridge and dual G1 winner Golden Ducat, Hawwaam has three lots on offer at the Two Year Old Sale.
