NOAH FROM GOA SCORES IN SINGAPORE

The Wilgerbosdrift bred Noah From Goa made headlines on Sunday when he picked up his first Singapore victory for trainer Ricardo Le Grange and jockey Nooresh Juglall.

Making his second start for Le Grange, Noah From Goa dictated a slow pace and made much of the running to capture a set weights race over 1800m at Kranji by 1.3  and 1.6 lengths from Makanani and Song To The Moon respectively.

Noah From Goa had finished fifth a 1200m contest on his only previous official race in Singapore.

Originally trained by Mike de Kock, the 6yo Noah From Goa won five of seven races in South Africa, with his local big race wins including both the 2015 G1 Grand Parade Cape Guineas and 2015 G2 Investec Dingaans.

The chestnut gelding was also placed in four of his five Dubai outings, with Noah From Goa running second in the G2 Zabeel Mile (he was also third in the 2018 Zabeel Mile) and third in the 2017 G2 Al Fahidi Fort.

A son of Wilgerbosdrift’s late sire Tiger Ridge, Noah From Goa is one of eight winners produced by the Fort Wood sired Listed Allez France Handicap winner Limerick.
