Flower Alley son a probable for Breeders’ Cup

Wilgerbosdrift’s exciting sire Flower Alley could be represented this year at the Breeders’ Cup, due to be run at Del Mar on November 3rd and 4th.

His son Bullards Alley, a record breaking 10.75 length winner of Sunday’s G1 Pattison Canadian International, is among the probable contenders for the Breeders’ Cup Turf next month.

A first G1 winner for trainer Tim Glyshaw, Bullards Alley defeated no fewer than nine pattern race winners when successful in Sunday’s Woodine feature, and he has now banked more than $840 000 in stakes.

The gelding’s previous wins included the G3 Louisville Handicap, with Bullards Alley having won or placed in seven feature races.

His sire Flower Alley, who himself earned more than $2 million on the track, ran second to Horse Of The Year Saint Liam in the 2005 G1 Breeders’ Cup Classic.

Flower Alley, also responsible for such G1 winning champions as I’ll Have Another and Lukes Alley, will be represented by his first locally born yearlings in 2018.
